The United Auburn Indian Community (UAIC) Tribal Historic Preservation Committee and NATHPO are convening a two-day NAGPRA training to be held October 28-29, 2013, at UAIC's Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, California. THPOs and Tribal, government, or museum agency representatives are welcome to attend, however space is limited. We encourage you to forward this invitation to any agency representatives who you feel would benefit from additional NAGPRA training. The first day focuses on basic NAGPRA training. The second day focuses on current NAGPRA litigation and hands-on practice.

Training Registration:
There is no cost to attend the training. Please RSVP via e-mail or phone ( 530-328-1109) by October 22. When RSVPing, please provide the total number of people who will be attending, including their names and titles. Once you have RSVP’d you will receive a confirmation that you/group have been registered. Those not registered by the day of the event may be turned away.

Lodging Information:
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express in Lincoln under the Block Code THP at a special conference rate of $79.00/night plus taxes (you can also refer to the Group Name – Tribal Preservation THPO Conference to get the conference rate). Rooms can be reserved at this rate until October 24, 2013. Please contact the hotel directly at (916) 644-3440 to get the rate. You can also reserve a room at Thunder Valley Casino Resort, but due to high volume demand the conference block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express in Lincoln.
