Seminar and Workshop Scholarships
 

Thanks to the generous support of The Getty Foundation and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, NATHPO is able to offer a limited number of scholarships to help offset some of the costs associated with participating in the seminars and workshops.

Anticipated costs for the November 2009 Workshop, "Telling Our History II: Museum Education and Public Programs":

  • Registration fee is $100
  • Lodging for three nights is estimated at $400
  • Transportation costs to/from the Ziibiwing Center

Information About Scholarships for November 2009 Workshop:
  • Scholarships range from $100 to $900 (from a fee waiver to almost entire anticipated costs of participant)
  • Priority will be given to ensuring that the greatest number of  participants may attend and at the maximum amount possible
  • Scholarship recipients and amounts will be determined as soon as possible
  • Registration scholarship to be awarded in advance
  • For transportation scholarship, funds will be awarded as a reimbursement after the workshop
  • To be eligible for lodging scholarship, your travel must be at least 100 miles roundtrip
  • You may be eligible for a partial or full lodging scholarship (does not include your personal hotel room costs, such as telephone calls, laundry, etc.) and if awarded, this cost will be awarded in advance

Scholarship Eligibility:
  • You must currently work with a tribal museum or cultural center (includes directors, staff, board members, and culture committee members)
  • In the event that you have been selected as a participant and  and a scholarship recipient, but unable to attend, you you will be required to  notify NATHPO in writing.
